"Stabbing Results In One Dead, Two Injured"

Reseda – On Saturday, October 7, 2000, at approximately 1:00 am, Van Nuys Patrol Officers responded to a radio call regarding a major fight at 4155 Fulton Avenue. Evidence at the location indicated that a crime had occurred, however, no victims or witnesses to the incident could be found. While conducting their investigation the Officers were notified that the possible victim to their crime had called for an ambulance at Riverside Drive and Van Nuys Boulevard. Officers responded to that location and found a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper torso. The victim was transported to Northridge Hospital where he expired at 5:10 am. Two other victims were located and they were transported to Valley Presbyterian Hospital and were treated for minor injuries to their hands and buttocks.

There is no suspect information nor is a motive known at this time and no weapons have been located.

The deceased victim has been identified as Rubik Babayan, a 32 year old resident of Glendale, Ca. Victim #2 is a 27 year old male resident of Hollywood, Ca. Victim #3 is a 23 year old male resident of Glendale, Ca.
