Police Seek Witnesses to Fatal Hit and Run NR12157wr

Los Angeles: LAPD West Traffic Division detectives are looking for anyone who may have witnessed a fatal hit and run traffic collision in Los Angeles.

On April 1, 2012, at 1:15 a.m., a vehicle negotiating a right turn, eastbound on 5th Street to southbound Normandie Avenue collided with a pedestrian who was crossing the street in the crosswalk. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at scene. The driver drove away without rendering or requesting aide and failing to identify him/herself as required by law.

The Pedestrian has not been identified and is listed as a John Doe. No witnesses have been located and there is no vehicle description at this time.
