Sergeant Martinez contracted COVID-19 during the commission of her job duties and succumbed to complications on January 13, 2021.
Sergeant Martinez was born on August 15, 1967, in Los Angeles, California. She was appointed to the Department on July 12, 1993.
Sergeant Martinez is survived by her sons, Robert and Steven; daughter, Amanda; and mother, Josie.
