Rememberance
On May 26, 2022, Officer Tipping was critically injured while participating in a training scenario when he fell and suffered a spinal cord injury. Officer Tipping was the instructor for the Bicycle Patrol School. Officer Tipping succumbed to his injuries three days later on May 29, 2022, in Los Angeles, California.
Officer Tipping was born on April 25, 1990, in Pasadena, California. He was appointed to the Department on December 26, 2017.
Officer Tipping is survived by his mother Shirley; father, Richard; sister, Kathleen; brother, Tyler; grandfather, LeRoy; and grandmother, Peggy, Kathleen and Lynn.
