Custody Services Division

Mission Statement

Custody Services Division, of the Los Angeles Police Department, provides professional and compassionate care and custody for those who are entrusted to us. We ensure that the constitutional rights of these individuals, whom we took an oath to protect and serve, are adhered to as they traverse the legal system of our City, State, and Nation.

Custody Services Division consists of ten jails located throughout the City of Los Angeles. The three larger scale jails are Metropolitan Detention Center, 77th Street Regional Jail, and Valley Regional Jail, and the other seven small scale area jails include, Devonshire (TEMPORARILY CLOSED), Foothill (TEMPORARILY CLOSED), Harbor, Hollywood, Pacific, Southwest (TEMPORARILY CLOSED) and Wilshire (TEMPORARILY CLOSED)
