The complaint investigation is assembled and submitted to the AID Commanding Officer for review. The completed investigation is sent up the chain of command for adjudication.
The Chief of Police has the final word on discipline within the Police Department.
Administrative Investigation Division is comprised of four investigative sections, each led by an Officer in Charge Lieutenant II, and an Assistant Officer in Charge Detective III, with several investigators most at the rank of Sergeant II and Detective II.
