Suspects Arrested in Home Invasion Homicide

Woodland Hills: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Operation Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives announce the arrest of three suspects wanted for a home invasion homicide in Woodland Hills.

On April 26, 2025, around 12:56 a.m., Topanga Division patrol officers responded to a radio call of a death investigation in the 22200 block of De La Osa Street and located the victim, identified as 47-year-old Aleksandre Modebadze, suffering from a head injury. The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at scene.
Operation Valley Bureau Homicide detectives conducted follow ups and determined three suspects entered the victim’s residence, held him captive, and assaulted him, causing his death. The suspects fled the location with the victim’s property.

LAPD Marshal’s Taskforce officers, with the assistance of the FBI, located the suspects hours after the incident. Suspect 1 was taken into custody in the area of Sepulveda Boulevard and Burbank Boulevard. Suspects 2 and 3 were taken into custody in the 400 block of Burchett Street in the city of Glendale, California. The suspects were arrested and identified as:

1. 38-year-old Paata Kochyashvili, booking number 7005554, charge: 187 (a) PC: Murder, $2,000,000 bail

2. 46-year-old Zaza Otarashvili, booking number 7005552, charge: 187 (a) PC: Murder, $2,000,000 bail

3. 52-year-old Besiki Khutsishvili, booking number 7005557, charge 187 (a) PC: Murder, $2,000,000 bail
