"Man Found Dead in Trunk of Vehicle"

Los Angeles-On Thursday, April 13, 2000, between the hours of 11:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., a lone male Black suspect, parked and abandoned a white Honda Civic in the driveway of an abandoned residence located at 347 W. 75th Street in Los Angeles.

Children in the area began to play with the vehicle. The trunk latch was released and the body of a 34 year-old male Black was discovered. A subsequent investigation revealed that the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso and arms. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The motive for this incident has not been established.

There is no further description at this time on the suspect.

The victim's name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

77th Street Homicide Detectives are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information concerning this incident is requested to call 77th Street Homicide Detectives at 213-485-1659 or the 77th Street Watch Commander at 213-485-2389.
