Two Racing Vehicles Crash and Leave One Person Dead NR24132jc/jl

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division Detectives are investigating a two-vehicle traffic collision that left one person dead.

On April 23, 2024, around 10:35p.m., a 2014 Honda Accord and a 2016 Nissan Versa were traveling eastbound on Vernon Avenue at a high rate of speed. The Nissan Versa lost control and collided into a Telephone pole. The Honda Accord also lost control and collided into multiple parked vehicles.

Paramedics of the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced the driver of the Nissan Versa, later identified as 44-year-old Tyrone Lindqvist, dead. The driver of the Honda Accord, a 21-year-old woman, and her two passengers were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Detectives are looking into a possible crime that has been committed. Charges are still pending.

Drivers are reminded to be aware of the roadway and to obey all posted speed limits. Also, that partaking in a speed contest and or reckless driving could result in a Watson Murder arrest.
