Sixty Five Year Old Killed in Traffic Collision

"Sixty Five Year Old Killed in Traffic Collision"

Los Angeles: On Thursday, August 17, 2000, at approximately 5:50 a.m., 19 year old Eugene Segura of Los Angeles was driving his 1999 Mitsubishi Galant westbound Sunset Boulevard just east of McDuff Street when 65 year old male, who was walking northbound on Sunset Boulevard was struck by Segura's vehicle. Segura stopped at the scene of the collision and called 911 and awaited the arrival of the police and paramedics.

The victim was transported to USC Medical Center where he expired as a result of his injuries. At this time the victim is unidentified.

The investigation is being conducted by Central Traffic Detectives, and is ongoing. For further information, please contact Detective II Johnny Meneses or Officer Richard Leuschner at 213-485-3111.
