Why:
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Chief William Bratton will join with other city leaders Monday to announce the opening of a new CLEAR Anti-Gang Site in southeast Los Angeles.

The purpose of the Los Angeles City/County Community Law Enforcement and Recovery (CLEAR) Program is to facilitate the recovery of gang-impacted communities. CLEAR promotes effective collaboration of all law enforcement organizations in designated communities, thus decreasing the criminal activity of targeted gangs and reducing the negative toll they take on our neighborhoods.
