Identity of 2nd USC Player in Fatal Car Crash

Los Angeles: According to spokesman Lieutenant Paul Vernon, the driver in the car crash today, December 15, 2005, involving Darrell Russell, was Michael Paul Bastianelli. He was 29 years old and lived in Los Angeles. He, too, was a former USC football player.

The silver Grand Prix was owned by Larry Parker, another former USC football player, who confirmed to police that he had given permission to Bastianelli and Russell to drive his car the night before the accident.
