Child Killed in Marked Crosswalk

Tuesday, February 15, 2000


Los Angeles - On February 15, 2000, at 7:25 a.m., a fatal hit and run accident occurred at the intersection of Yosemite Drive and Avoca Street, in the City of Los Angeles, resulting in the death of 7 year-old Alexander Sanna.
Alexander Sanna was walking northbound Avoca Street, in a marked crosswalk, when a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse traveling eastbound on Yosemite Drive, struck him. Sanna was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

Today, February 15, 2000, at 4:00 p.m., Central Traffic Detective's Tia Morris and Jose Garcia, will be holding a press conference at the intersection of Yosemite Drive and Avoca Street. Family members of Alexander Sanna will be present and available for interviews, as well as a photograph of Alexander Sanna.
