Man Shot to Death; Suspect Arrested

 

Los Angeles: Rampart Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of Robert Rodela, a male Hispanic, 48 years of age.

On Thursday, February 13, 2003, at approximately 11:55 a.m., Rampart patrol officers responded to the 1800 block of West Pico Boulevard to investigate a shooting call. When the officers arrived they observed the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect, who is identified as Timothy James a male Caucasian, 35 years of age, became involved in an argument. At which time, the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired several times at the victim striking and mortally wounding him.

The suspect was arrested for Penal Code Section 187(A), Murder, and is being held on $1,000,000.00 dollars bail.
