National Child Passenger Safety Week

 

What:
News Conference Regarding Inspection/Installation of Child Car Seats

City Council Representatives; Deputy Chief Ronald W. Bergmann; Captain Ronald E. Marbrey; Detective III William Bustos (Spanish Media)

Where:
"BABY'S R US" 7886 Van Nuys Boulevard, Van Nuys

Los Angeles: February 13, 2005 through February 19, 2005, is the National Child Passenger Safety week. The California Vehicle Code requires children under 6 years of age, or under 60 lbs., to be properly restrained in a child safety seat. Some children may need to be in a booster seat until 8 years of age depending on weight.

Police Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department and California Highway Patrol will be present to inspect and install child car seats. To be considered for an inspection or installation, parents or guardians should contact "BABY'S R US" for an appointment at 818-994-2006.
