Why:
On July 30, 2008, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Pico Rivera Station arrested 49-year old Nicholas Zavala Morales of Los Angeles for attempt robbery and impersonating a police officer .
On August 4, 2008, Hollenbeck Division detectives filed charges against Morales for robbery and grand theft, with 1.13 million dollars bail.
Morales has possibly committed these crimes on several occasions in East Los Angeles and Orange County area targeting street vendors and others who have little money and are unlikely to report the crime.
Morales' photos will be displayed at the news conference and also will be available upon request at LAPD Media Relations Section.
