Fatal Traffic Collision
On Monday, January 3, 2000 at 7:50 a.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred at Nordhoff Street at Wilbur Avenue, involving two vehicles. Vilma Elizabeth Triqueros, a 29 year old resident of Reseda, was traveling eastbound on Nordhoff Street, negotiating a left turn to northbound Wilbur Avenue in a red 1993 Nissan Altima when her vehicle collided with a brown 1984 Pontiac Firebird that was traveling westbound on Nordhoff Street. Ms. Triqueros was transported to Northridge Hospital where she was admitted into surgery and succumbed to her injuries later in the day.
The driver of the pontiac was also transported to Northridge Hospital where he was treated for moderate injuries.
