Parolee Wanted for Threatening Family Members

"Parolee Wanted for Threatening Family Members"

Los Angeles – Today, Wednesday, January 10, 2001 at 6:00 p.m., Hollenbeck Area Commanding Officer Captain Al Michelena will hold a press conference to seek the public’s help in locating a parolee who has been threatening his ex-spouse and his children. The press conference will be held in the roll call room of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Community Police Station located at 2111 East 1st Street in Los Angeles.

The suspect has a record of extensive abuse against his ex-spouse. The suspect was convicted of spousal battery five years ago and during the sentencing, he threatened to kill his ex-spouse and children. The suspect was deported to Guatemala, and on Tuesday, January 9, 2001, he went to his ex-spouse's former residence looking for her.

The suspect is identified as Valdemar Galindo, male Hispanic, 36 years of age, black hair, brown eyes, 5'7", 180 lbs.
