Los Angeles – Today, Wednesday, January 10, 2001 at 6:00 p.m., Hollenbeck Area Commanding Officer Captain Al Michelena will hold a press conference to seek the public’s help in locating a parolee who has been threatening his ex-spouse and his children. The press conference will be held in the roll call room of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Community Police Station located at 2111 East 1^st Street in Los Angeles.

The suspect has a record of extensive abuse against his ex-spouse. The suspect was convicted of spousal battery five years ago and during the sentencing, he threatened to kill his ex-spouse and children. The suspect was deported to Guatemala, and on Tuesday, January 9, 2001, he went to his ex-spouse's former residence looking for her.

The suspect is identified as Valdemar Galindo, male Hispanic, 36 years of age, black hair, brown eyes, 5'7", 180 lbs.
