Harbor Area 1st Annual Block Party

San Pedro - On Saturday, January 20, 2001, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Harbor Area Community Police Station will host its 1st Annual "Stop the Violence" block party at the intersection of 10th Street and Centre Street in San Pedro. Harbor Area Commanding Officer Captain Paul M. Kim and representatives from Councilman Rudy Svornich’s office will attend and be available to speak to members of the community regarding police issues in their area.

In addition, members of the LAPD Explorers, LAPD Reserve Officers, DARE Division, Harbor Area Crisis Response Team and the Harbor Area Volunteers will host tables to provide additional information regarding resources available to the community. 102.7 KIIS FM and MEGA 92.3 will provide entertainment.

Free food and drinks will be available during the event and all community members are invited to participate.
