Man Dies After Drive-By Shooting
Los Angeles: Rampart Homicide Detectives are
investigating the death of Dario Pazmino, a male Hispanic, 24 years of age.
On Wednesday, January 15, 2003, at
approximately 6:45 p.m., Rampart patrol officers responded to a shots fired
investigation call in the1300 block of Kellam Avenue. When officers arrived,
they observed Pazmino seated in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Los
Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported the victim to a
local hospital where he died from his wounds.
The investigation revealed that Pazmino was parked in the street when the
suspect(s) vehicle, described as a 1997 Honda Civic, 4 door, metallic green
with tinted windows drove by and started shooting into Pazmino’s vehicle
striking him. The suspect(s) vehicle then drove away westbound on Kellam
Avenue towards Douglas Street. The motive for the shooting is believed to be
gang related.
