"Four Murder/Robbery Suspects Arrested, a Fifth has been Identified"

 

Los Angeles: Two men and two woman have been arrested in connection with the robbery at St. Regis Junior Liquor Store and for the murder of Mr. Jae Yang. In addition, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detectives have identified a fifth suspect, and a reward has been offered for information leading to his capture.

The four suspects in custody are residents of Los Angeles. Robert Arceneaux, 23 years-old, and LeToya Robinson, age 21, were arrested on January 13, 2005, in South Los Angeles.

Eric Butler, 24 years-old, was arrested the next day in the West Adams area of Los Angeles. Tequita Lee, 24 years-old, was arrested on January 18, 2005.

Kenneth PeoplesA fifth suspect, Kenneth Peoples, has also been identified as a suspect in the murder. A warrant for his arrest has been issued. Peoples is described as a Black male, 22 years-old, with black hair, and brown eyes. He is 5' 7" and weighs 135 pounds. Peoples is a resident of Los Angeles and may be driving a 2000-2001, white 4 door Chevy Malibu with tinted rear windows. The same vehicle was described as being at the scene of the murder.

The Los Angeles City Council has authorized a $50,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of persons involved in this crime. The reward remains in effect for the apprehension of Kenneth Peoples.

Jae Yang was a Korean immigrant and resident of Oxnard. He was a well-respected business owner, whose liquor store was located in the 8400 block of 3 rd Street. He was murdered during a daytime robbery of his store on December 18, 2004.
