Black History Month - Recruitment Exposition

What:
The LAPD and the LAFD will celebrate Black History Month with an exciting three-day recruitment exposition and family carnival. Both Departments will display equipment from some of their most elite units including SWAT, K-9 and the Bomb Squad.
 
When:
Friday, February 3, through Sunday, February 5, 2006
Friday, 5:00 p.m.,- 11:00 p.m.,
Saturday and Sunday 11:00a.m., -1:00 p.m.

Where:
Rancho Cienega Sports Center
5001 Rodeo Road, Los Angeles 

Who:
Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles City Personnel Department.  

Why:
The 2006 Black History Month Recruitment Exposition and Family Carnival will give the community members the opportunity to meet police officers and firefighters and learn about the challenges and rewards of working in the Public Safety field.

The LAPD entrance test will be administered on Saturday at 12:00 p.m., and again on Sunday at 9:00 a.m.  The City of Los Angeles is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity.
