LAPD Officers Being Presented With the TOP COP Award
The Los Angeles Police Department joins the National Association of Police Organizations, in recognizing three of it's own as winners of the prestigious TOP COPS Award. Sergeant Joan Leuck, Police Officer Romik Keshishi, and Police Officer Cynthia French from the Los Angeles Police Department, were nominated by Chief of Police Bernard C. Parks to receive the TOP COPS Award for their efforts in stopping an armed man threatening the community, on New Year's Eve in 1999.
Sergeant Leuck, Police Officer Keshishi, and Police Officer French will be honored with their fellow TOP COPS winners, for their outstanding service and heroic acts of courage on the job at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, August 5, 2000, at 7:00 p.m., at the Warner Theatre.
