Daily News Newspaper Employee Found Dead Inside the Warehouse
Woodland Hills - On Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at approximately 2:43 a.m., Van Nuys Uniformed Patrol Officers responded to a Radio Call "Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Ambulance En Route, Shots Fired" located in the 6800 block of Hayvenhurst Avenue. Upon officers' arrival, Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance informed them that the victim was dead at the scene. The victim is described as a male Hispanic, approximately 35 years old, and suffered from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
The location where the victim was found is a newspaper-distributing warehouse for the Los Angeles Daily News and the victim was an employee at the location. The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
