Los Angeles - On Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at approximately 12:00 am, two male Hispanics age 17 and 21 were standing at the Imperial Courts Housing Development located at 115^th Street and Mona Avenue when the suspect approached them. The suspect walked up to the victims and shot numerous times, striking them both. The 17-year old victim collapsed at the scene and was later pronounced dead by responding Los Angeles City Paramedics. The other victim was transported to a local city hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The motive in this case had not been determined.
