Pedestrian Killed in Crosswalk

 

Los Angeles: A 66-year old pedestrian died Tuesday night in Hollywood, when he was hit by a car while crossing the street.

On March 15, 2005, at about 9:30 p.m., a man was hit by a car on Sunset Boulevard at Van Ness Avenue. The pedestrian was crossing Sunset Boulevard, northbound in the crosswalk, when the signal changed to green, for westbound traffic. A Mercedes traveling westbound on Sunset, in the number two lane, hit the man in the crosswalk.

The man was taken to Kaiser Sunset Hospital where he died from his injuries.

The decedent's name is being withheld until his family can be notified.
