Los Angeles: Members of the media are cordially invited to attend the Monthly Media Availability Meeting, hosted by Chief of Police William J. Bratton. This media availability is consistent with Chief Bratton’s mandate to foster an attitude of openness and cooperation between the Department and the public/media.

Among other things, Chief Bratton will discuss the City’s current crime trends. Additionally, he will introduce four Los Angeles Police Officers who are currently or had recently been activated for military service in response to the war in Iraq. Two of the officers were injured or wounded in action in Iraq. All of the officers will be available for interview by the media.
