26 -Year-old Man Killed

"26-Year-old Man Killed"

 

Los Angeles: Rampart Homicide Detectives are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the person responsible for the early morning death of a 26-year-old male, Korean.

On Saturday, May 7, 2005, at about 2:50 a.m., the victim was confronted by a suspect in the 3300 block of West 6th Street. The suspect shot the victim with an unknown caliber handgun for unknown reasons. The suspect was last seen entering a vehicle and driving northbound on Berendo Street from the location.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Chester Clarence Chang of Santa Monica.

The suspect was described as a male, approximately 5'5 -5'8, no further description is available. The vehicle is described as a late model Lexus.

The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public's help. Anyone with information is urged to contact Rampart Homicide Detectives Velasco or Silva at 213-207-2060.
