Woman Shot and Killed in Cleaners

 

Los Angeles: Rampart Homicide detectives are investigating the murder of a 28 year-old Jamaican female at her place of employment.

On Saturday, May 14, 2005, a customer found the victim on the ground in L.A Best Cleaners at 240 N. Virgil Avenue . The customer called for help and Rampart patrol officers responded.

Upon arrival officers observed the victim down on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper torso. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The suspect, for unknown reasons, shot the victim with an unknown type weapon and left he location.

The suspect has not been identified and both the suspect and weapon remain outstanding.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.

The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking assistance from the community, asking anyone with information to contact Rampart Homicide Detectives J. Breuer or M.
