Triple Homicide in Northeast Area

Atwater: On Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at approximately 9:45 p.m., the victims, Mary Ann Wistosky, 64 years of age, her daughter Cheri Wistosky, 45 years of age, and Bryham Robinson, 38 years of age, a family friend, were seated in their vehicle, double parked in front of 4024 Chevy Chase Drive. The suspect, who was armed with a handgun, approached their vehicle and without warning started shooting at the victims fatally wounding them in an apparent execution style. Los Angeles fire department Rescue Ambulance responded and attempted to provide emergency medical treatment. The victims failed to respond and died from their injuries at the location. All victims are from the Los Feliz area.

The suspect was described as either male Caucasian or Hispanic in his mid 20's. He was in company of four male Hispanics. The motive for the shooting appears to be narcotic related.

Homicide detectives from Northeast Operations Support division are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to contact Detectives Jose Carrillo of Lou Rivera at 213-847-4261.

This press release was prepared by Public Information Officer Jason Lee, Media Relations Section, 213-485-3586.
