Victim Dies From Gunshot Wound

Monday, November 29, 1999


On Friday, November 26, 1999, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Foothill Patrol officers responded to an ambulance ADW shots fired call on Hubbard Street east of Laurel Canyon. Upon their arrival, officers discovered the victim of a gunshot wound, Felipe Cedillo Jr. of Sylmar. Cedillo was transported to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Investigation revealed that an unknown number of suspects drove up to the victim and shot him as he sat in his car. Detectives believe the shooting may be gang related. The weapon and suspects are outstanding.

The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking the assistance of the community, asking that witnesses call Foothill Area Detectives J. Martinez, R. Gonzalez or J. Perez at 818-834-3115 or 818-834-3112. The evening phone number 818-756-8861.
