Next Community Meeting to be Held in South Central on January 29, 2002

"Next Community Meeting to be Held in South Central on January 29, 2002"

Special Appearance: Councilmember Mark Ridley-Thomas
To learn the community’s concerns and ideas, the members of the Board of Los Angeles Police Commissioners have reinstated evening meetings in the community. Following the success of the first meeting held in October in Cypress Park, these meetings are now held quarterly throughout the City of Los Angeles. The public is encouraged to attend and share their thoughts on crime, the Department’s efforts in combating crime, community policing, or whatever they would like the Commission to know. This meeting will feature Councilmember Mark Ridley-Thomas who was eager to invite the Police Commission to his district. The meeting will be held at the following location:

Tuesday, January 29, 2002
6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Constituent Service Center
8475 S. Vermont Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90044

The members of the Police Commission see community meetings as an integral component of their responsibility which is to oversee the Los Angeles Police Department on behalf of the people of Los Angeles.
