Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing child.

There will be a press conference held at 77th Street Area Police Station, 7600 South Broadway, to request the public’s assistance in locating 4 year old Dalila Patino.

On Monday, November 25, 2003, at about 12:30 a.m., Dalila Patino was with her mother at Main Street and Gage Avenue, near a food cart. They were in the company of an acquaintance, 16 year-old Tania Anguiano. The mother momentarily stepped away from the child and when she returned, she found the child and Anguiano missing. The mother went back to her residence and found neither child or Anguiano at the location.

Dalila is described as a female Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, 3’ 6", 50 lbs., thin build, light complexion. She was last seen wearing pink pajamas.

Tania is described as a female Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, 5’ 7", 150 lbs., thin build, light complexion. She was also accompanied by a male Hispanic, about 30 years old, driving a white Ford pick-up truck.

Photographs of Dalila Patino and Tania Anguiano will be available during the press conference.

This news release was prepared by Public Information Officer Sandra Escalante, Media Relations Section, 213-485-3586.

***UPDATE***

Shortly after the press conference, a community member called the detectives to report that Dalila was at her apartment near 73rd Street and Central Avenue.
