"Argument Leads To Stabbing Death"

Pacoima - On Saturday, October 21, 2000, at 4:55 p.m., Foothill Area Patrol Officers responded to a stabbing investigation at Pierce Street and Glenoaks Boulevard. The preliminary investigation indicated that the victim, identified by relatives as Lonnie Franklin, a 24 year old resident of Lake View Terrace, was stabbed during an argument with a friend. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

The suspect, identified as Marlon Fowler, a 22 year old resident of Pacoima, was arrested at the scene and has been booked for Murder. No motive has been established.

The investigation is being conducted by Foothill Area Homicide Detectives and they can be reached at 818-834-3115 or 3112, and during evening hours at 818-756-8861.
