Man and Woman Found Murdered in the Sunland-Tujunga Area

"Man and Woman Found Murdered in the Sunland-Tujunga Area"

 

Sunland-Tujunga: On Thursday, October 11, 2001, at approximately 2:35 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department received a telephone call from a community member that a possible homicide had occurred in the 10100 block of Commerce Avenue in the Sunland-Tujunga area.

Foothill area patrol officers responded to a condominium complex and discovered the bodies of one male and one female adult, both of whom had been murdered. Foothill Area Homicide Detectives and Robbery-Homicide Division Detectives responded to the scene.

The motive and cause of death has not yet been determined and no suspects are in custody. Release of the identity of the victims is pending the notification of their next of kin.

The investigation is being handled by Robbery-Homicide Division. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Robbery-Homicide Detectives M. Berchem or E. Mosher at 213-485-2129 during daytime hours or Detective Headquarters Division at 213-485-3261 during evening and weekend hours.
