77th Street Detectives Investigate Homicide

"77 th Street Detectives Investigate Homicide"

 

Los Angeles: On Sunday, October 14, 2001, at approximately 1:45 a.m., 27 year-old Ajamee Roblie Mitchell, stood in front of 742 East 79th Street when unknown suspect(s) walked up to him and engaged him in a conversation. At one point in the conversation, the suspect armed himself with a pistol and fired several rounds at Mitchell. Mitchell sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso and died at scene. The suspect(s) were last seen walking casually eastbound on 79th Street towards McKinley Avenue.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown. The suspect(s) and weapon remain outstanding.

77th Street Homicide Detectives Charles Tizano and Michelle Esquivel are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information concerning this incident is requested to call 77th Street Homicide at 213-485-1385 or The Department Command Post at 213-485-2504 during off-hours.
