Sexual Assault Suspect Sought

 

Los Angeles: Central Area Detectives are conducting an investigation into the sexual assaults of two women who were contacted by an unknown suspect at a downtown bus stop. The suspect approached the victims under the guise of offering them a ride to their respective destinations. The women were taken to a location near the Los Angeles River where they were sexually assaulted and then abandoned.

The first assault occurred on Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at about 2:00 a.m.

The second assault occurred on Monday, October 20, 2003, at about 6:00 a.m.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his 40’s, brown hair, brown eyes, 5’ 6" to 5’ 10", 220 to 250 lbs., with a distinct "pot belly". The suspect also has a receding hairline and thick mustache.

The vehicle used by the suspect is described as a white full size pick-up truck with a possible lumber rack.
