News Conference - Violent 'Asian Business Bandits'


What:
News Conference requesting the public's assistance in identifying those responsible for a string of recent business robberies

100 North Los Angeles Street
3rd Floor Media Room
Los Angeles, CA 90012

Who:
Deputy Chief Cayler Carter, Operations Central Bureau
Captain Richard Wemmer, Commanding Officer, Wilshire Area
Detectives from Robbery Homicide Division

Why:
Since September 14th of this year, a string of 17 violent robberies have occurred throughout West and Central Bureaus, targeting primarily Asian owned or operated businesses. Police are asking for the public's help in identifying and apprehending the suspects.

Photographs of the suspects and video footage of a robbery in progress will be made available to the media.
