The purpose of this event is to promote traffic safety in Southern Los Angeles. It also gives the community a chance to meet public safety officials and see first-hand the equipment used to keep the streets safe.
This event will feature static displays from South Traffic Division (motorcycles and police cars), Bicycle Detail, Air Support, Mounted Unit, Off-road Detail, Explorers, Cal Trans, Department of Transportation, California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles Fire Department, plus many others.
Planned events include, but are not limited to: a bicycle rodeo for children, a bicycle helmet giveaway, a car booster seat giveaway, and inspections to ensure the proper installation of child restraint systems, live radio broadcast by KJLH (102.3 FM) and food. This is a chance to learn about the importance of traffic safety while having fun.
