On April 15, 2015, Rebecca Melendez contacted her mother saying that she was in the San Francisco area. Ms. Melendez was reunited with her family and is reported to be in good health.

The family of Rebecca Melendez and the Los Angeles Police Department's Missing Persons Unit are requesting the public's assistance in locating Ms. Melendez.

Ms. Melendez was last seen on April 13, 2015, around 8:40 a.m., in the 8000 block of Willis Avenue in the City of Panorama. Ms. Melendez's has not been seen or heard from since. Her family is extremely concerned for her welfare.

Rebecca Melendez is described as a 19-year-old female Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet 1 inches tall and weighs around 155 pounds.
