Bio

The son and nephew of Los Angeles Police Department veterans, Captain Vincent Di Mauro, Jr., followed in his father and uncle’s footsteps and joined the LAPD in 2005. After graduating from the police academy, Captain Di Mauro worked assignments as a Police Officer in Northeast and Van Nuys Division. His assignments included Patrol, Bikes, Field Training Officer, and Senior Lead Officer.

In 2014, Captain Di Mauro promoted to Sergeant at Newton Division where he was assigned to Patrol, the Footbeat Unit, as Area Adjutant, and the Gang Enforcement Detail. Captain Di Mauro was upgraded to Sergeant II at Olympic Division and served as an Assistant Watch Commander.

In 2019, Captain Di Mauro was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to Southwest Division, where he served as Patrol Watch Commander, Detective Watch Commander, Officer-in-Charge or the University Park Task Force, and Acting Patrol Commanding Officer. In 2021, Captain Di Mauro was upgraded to Lieutenant II and served as Officer-in-Charge of Internal Affairs Division’s Investigation Section – West. In 2023, Lieutenant Di Mauro was selected to serve as Adjutant to the Deputy Chief of Counter-Terrorism and Special Operations Bureau.

In 2025, he was promoted to his current rank of Captain, where he served as the Commanding Officer of Topanga Patrol Division. In 2026, Captain Di Mauro was assigned as the Assistant Commanding Officer of Internal Affairs Division, where he currently serves.

Captain Di Mauro has completed Los Angeles Police Department Leadership Programs and graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and Human Resources.

Captain Di Mauro is married to his wife of nearly 20 years and has three daughters. Captain Di Mauro enjoys spending quality time with his family and attending his daughters’ sporting events and performances.
