Purpose: Major Events Group (MEG) is responsible for managing the four citywide Incident Management Teams (IMTs) and coordinating safety and security planning to enhance the Department’s readiness for designated spontaneous incidents and preplanned events occurring within the City.  MEG is tasked with doing so in a manner that represents community, fiscal, organizational, and municipal interests.  Subsequent to each designated event or incident, MEG will oversee the after-action reporting and implementation of recommendations stemming from the IMTs’ response.
