Los Angeles: A Los Angeles police officer was arrested earlier this morning for fraud.

On August 6, 2007, around 10:30 a.m., Police Officer David Hance was arrested when he appeared for his arraignment at the Criminal Courts building located at 210 West Temple Street. Hance was appearing on embezzlement and receiving stolen property charges filed by the District Attorney's Office. It is believed Hance used Department funds for his personal use.

Hance is 38 and a ten-year veteran of the Department. He was last assigned to 77th Station.
