27-Year-Old Killed From Shooting

"27 Year-old Killed From Shooting"

 

Los Angeles - On Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at approximately 3:25 p.m., the victim, Lorenzo Tinoco Hernandez, 27 years old, was in his car traveling northbound on Menlo Street between 61st Street and 60th Street. Unknown suspect(s) that were driving in front of him in a possible reddish color vehicle stopped and fired multiple gunshots at Hernandez. Hernandez. Hernandez sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his lower torso and slowly backed his car into a chain link fence and came to rest on the curb of the 6200 block of Menlo Street. The suspect(s) were last seen driving away eastbound on 61st Street towards Hoover Street. Hernandez was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance to Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 4:45 p.m.

The motive is unknown and the suspect(s) and weapon remain outstanding.
