Student Finds Threatening Letter at Hollenbeck High School

Los Angeles: On April 19, 2007, a Salesian High School student found a threatening letter in a classroom and reported it to school administrators. The letter threatened violent acts against students and teachers at the school and mentioned that the acts would take place on Tuesday, April 24, 2007.

School administrators called police and reported the incident.

When police arrived on campus, they used both firearm and explosive detection K-9's to search for devices.

After numerous interviews and an intensive investigation, detectives arrested a 17-year-old juvenile on April 23, 2007 for criminal threats.
