Juvenile Victim Dies From Gunshot Wounds

 

Los Angeles: On Sunday, August 5, 2001, at approximately 11:45 PM, officers from the Hollywood Community Police Station responded to a radio call of shots fired at 6000 block of Barton Avenue. On arrival, they discovered a 14-year-old male who had apparently sustained several gunshot wounds. Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he subsequently succumbed to his wounds.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

The motive appears to be gang related. No suspects have been identified at this time.
