Los Angeles: On Monday, August 5, 2002, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the victim, a 22 year-old female was at the Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park visiting a gravesite. While there, she observed two men walking in her direction. The victim walked away from the gravesite toward her car when one of the men grabbed her arm and attempted to sexually assault her, while the second male stood and watched. The victim began to scream and struggle with the man who used an unknown object to stab the victim in the abdomen. The suspect and his companion laughed during the attack and then ran from the scene.

The victim was able to drive herself to an area hospital where she was treated for her wound and released.

The armed suspect was described as a male Hispanic, 5’05" tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds with brown eyes. The suspect was wearing dark clothing, and wore a navy blue bandana over his head and black gloves.

The suspect’s companion was described as a male Hispanic, 5’07" tall and weighed approximately 180 pounds with a muscular build a shaved head and a goatee. This suspect was wearing a black ribbed tank top shirt and black gloves. This suspect had a tattoo of a cross on his left shoulder.

The victim described the suspects as possible gang members.
