Murder on the Sidewalk

 

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department's 77th Area homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man who was gunned down while walking along a City street.

On Friday August 15, 2003, at about 11:05 p.m., 37 year-old Chris Ellington, a resident of Los Angeles, was walking on the sidewalk in the 6100 block of South Hoover Street.

Ellington was confronted by an unknown suspect and was seriously shot and wounded by his assailant.

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and took Ellington to a local hospital where, on August 18, 2003, he died from his wounds.

The motive is unknown. The suspects and their weapons are not in custody.
