To discuss law enforcement support for The Immigrant Responsibility and Security Act and how it strengthens national security and public safety

Los Angeles: On Wednesday September 1, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., Senator Gilbert A. Cedillo, author of the new driver’s license bill, Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton, and other members of the law enforcement community will hold a news conference to discuss the Immigrant Responsibility and Security Act that was passed by both houses of the state Legislature on August 27, 2004. The press conference will highlight national security and public safety aspects of the new driver’s license bill.
