Robbery-Homicide Detectives will be announcing the identity of a suspect responsible for the abduction and sexual assault of an 8-year-old boy.

On June 13, 2007, the boy was walking home from school with his caregiver when he ran ahead of her.  The caregiver lost sight of the boy near the corner of Atoll Avenue and Victory Boulevard.   The suspect, driving a black compact 4-door vehicle, stopped the car, grabbed the boy and pulled him inside.  The suspect drove to a location and sexually assaulted him.

DNA evidence from the crime scene was linked to the suspect.  The suspect is currently in custody on unrelated felony charges.  The suspect’s background revealed that he used to work at various hospitals.  Detectives are seeking additional victims who may  have been sexually assaulted by the suspect.

A photo of the suspect will be on display.
